Stockdog Specialties was started several years ago to supply the working farmer and rancher with items to implement the choosing, raising, and
training of the good stockdog. My interest in these dogs sprang from seeing far too many pups put down, given away, or left in the truck, when a small amount of training could have made them into valuable partners.
Help with training has been difficult for the stockman to find. The books and videos available here are designed to help train the dog, though some deal with breed history and stories of working dogs. Other items, whistles, collars, ID tags, etc. are available also.

Well bred, strong and trainable dogs are necessary for the stockman.The Australian Kelpie breed has been my choice for a diligent, hardworking co-worker, and the SSS dogs offered are bred to do whatever job is at hand. Well planned breedings take time, so pups are available infrequently. Extensive pedigrees and photos are available.
